We didn’t expect a thank you when we played for the Ronald McDonald House first birthday event in November 2013, but when we joined them to play for their Volunteer’s Christmas Party, we received this beautiful letter of thanks:
Dear Silky Six,
From all of us here at Ronald McDonald House, the families, volunteers, staff and board we would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation of your very generous support.
It is people such as yourselves that help us to do what we do.
Our first birthday event was such a success, the venue and of course the ambiance created by your beautiful music. It was a real pleasure meeting and chatting with you.
As you know we are not able to operate the House without our wonderful volunteers. They are the heart of our House. It is so important to recognise and acknowledge the value they bring to the running of the House which is why we ensure their Christmas party is a night filled with great food, great music and great company.
We hope to have a wonderful partnership into the future, thank you again 🙂
And my didn’t we enjoy ourselves at their birthday event held at the Canberra Zoo and of course, at the Christmas party too!
We too are looking forward to a partnership in the future with this fabulous charity – and many many more birthday event functions to come!
